We spied Zander and his bike outside Time Market.

Our kids were like “whoa, is that a bike, or….” and asked to meet it. So Zander kindly let the kids pet and sit on his bike

I asked Zander if his bike had a name and he said no, but added that his bike reminds him a bit of Elmo.

Shannon is the mama of two awesome kiddos, and an amazing photographer.

She’s also got some fabulous body art and has a tough-meets-pretty style that we admire.

Sometimes we take photos of people not just because of their style, but because something else draws us in first–in this case, Whitney’s eyes.

She was at the May the Fourth be with you event this past weekend and I found her eyes really so beautiful and she let me photograph her.

We were downtown celebrating our anniversary on Friday evening when we happened upon this radiant couple, Christian and Joaquin. They had just got hitched in Saguaro National Monument East, and were all aglow.

Their boots were a great touch–worn brown leather grounding his white shirt and her white dress, and providing a great contrast with the ethereal wildflowers in the bride’s hair.

We stopped Jen Hodges on Pennington Street this past Friday night to ask about her shirt. What was redacted, and why?

As Jen explained it, she found the shirt at a garage sale and loved the fabric and the fit, but it had “some silly logo” on it–probably an American Eagle or Abercrombie shirt, we decided. So she got the shirt anyway, and customized it.

I’ve known friends who did a similar things with onesies and other baby clothes–they put patches or pieces of fabric over the annoying “My Little Cutie” or “Junior Quarterback” slogans on otherwise fine clothing.

Debbie, who was one of the people who pushed up past 500 likes, is an amazing photographer, as is her husband Jordy.

This is a photo of them, celebrating their 21st anniversary. Which is impossible, since she can’t be more than 30. Child bride, I guess…

Oh that was the most fun I’ve had in a while. I love naming things, and I love asking people questions.

Here are two of the named bikes (I can’t take credit for the awesomeness that is “$23 and an Orange” but here she is)

This is La Tortuga, so named because her rider described her as gentle and slow and gliding. And then it turned out, after I suggested the name, that the rider had experienced a profound and moving moment watching tortugas nesting in Costa Rica. So there! Intuition and connection. Sigh.
