Once a Tucsonan…
The Old Pueblo became approximately 14% less stylish a couple years ago when Dr. Erin Debenport left for a tenure-track faculty position at University of New Mexico. A huge loss for us, but we try to be generous and wish her all good things in Albuquerque. Lucky for me, I got to spend the last few days with her and her sweetheart in ABQ, and was left inspired by everything about her–clothing, home, yard, general radiance.
This natural strawberry-blonde beauty makes most of her own clothes (this dress here is an example) and her thrift finds are marvelous. Example–this past weekend we took a late-night dip in her backyard stock tank, and she wore a vintage cherry-print bikini.
Notice how her wood-heeled shoes feature the same denim as the panel in the bodice of her dress. We love her well-curated collection of chunky silver jewelry as well.
Erin was also one of the founders of Tucson’s Crafternoon (Rebecca Safford is her sister), and she’s launched an Albuquerque chapter to spread the crafty love.
